Each competes to become a Website, Blog and Portal he or she are often visited by visitors around the world. For people who are new to the world of the internet and this Website, there are still many who are hesitant and headache with various types of web pages that can be created and whether the appropriate type of concept is used if you want to create a Website. Before you get caught up with the terms used, it's a good idea to examine this subject at a glance.

Website

The web is a service that gathers information. The World Wide Web or WWW or better known as the Web is the most popular internet service. WW is said to be the Universal Virtual Library. The website or known as the World Wide Web (WWW) is a universal network consisting of a collection of files in Online. Websites can be defined as electronic pages displayed via a computer using internet technology. The website is a Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) document using a special language that contains hypertext relationships with other documents on the World Wide Web (WWW). This network site contains links to documents and information sources contained throughout the internet. The protocol commonly used is HTTP: // which stands for Hyper Text Transfer Protocol.

Typically the Web has hyper links to text, graphic images, audio and video. Each Web has a unique address. This address is known as a Uniform Resource Locator (URL). Each URL contains two main parts, namely protocol and domain name. HTML is used to design websites and to link one page to another on the website. Websites can also be interpreted as a collection of pages that describe information on text data, still or motion picture data, animation data, sound, video and/or a combination of all, both static and dynamic which form a series of interrelated buildings where each linked to a series of pages. However, the Website is only based on the distribution of basic information to visitors solely. Two-way communication is very lacking between visitors with Web controllers or the Web itself.

Broadly speaking, the Website can be classified into 3 parts, namely:
1. Static Website
2. Dynamic Website
3. Interactive Website.

Static websites are Webs that have pages that don't change. Whenever a Dynamic Website is a website that is structurally intended for as many updates as possible. Common examples of dynamic websites are news webs or web portals in which there are easy news, polls and so on. Meanwhile, Interactive Website is a Web that is currently developing. One example of interactive websites is blogs and forums. Usually, a website like this has a moderator to arrange so that the topics discussed are not off track. In line with the development of the world Website that introduces the concept of Web 2.0, which emphasizes more on the two-way interaction where the builder provides the site and visitors will participate to enliven your Website.

Blog

This type of website has more habits leading to personal pages and is easier to create. This is the type of website that is most created because of its easy maintenance process and the inclusion of visitors who do not need a registration process.

Among the characteristics of the Blog type website are:
1. The easiest to create and easiest for beginners. Registration may be realized, but usually, the creator will use the convenience of Open ID.
2. Website design needs to be more attractive and "Catchy" to attract visitors. Website structure is more emphasized to the text than the image (70% -30%).
3. The content of the article may depend on one agenda or be mixed up with other things depending on the creator. Articles or ingredients need to be constantly updated so that visitors will return to visit. The effectiveness of this type of page is dependent on the number of visitors who visit. Interaction for visitors is more about writing comments compared to other things stated in the Portal.
4. The participation of visitors helps to increase the popularity stage of this page, without visitors, this page seems to die.
5. The custom of this page will be filled with various types of advertisements that may be a little annoying to visitors.

This blog controller is called Blogger. Nowadays, political experts, journalists and public figures are busy using this media which can sometimes be termed "journalists themselves without editors".

Portal

Portal is a transfer from the Website. The portal is bigger and more comprehensive than the Website. There are dozens of applications that support it. The portal assists in managing or making decisions, the results of the information produced by it. Among the easiest examples for Portal is Google, Yahoo! etc.

Among the features of the Portal type website are:
1. Website structure is more orderly and not too messy. The arrangement of all information is more organized and easily achieved by visitors.
2. Website content is more varied and not too dependent on one type. Use of some additional widgets such as gallery videos and photos. The important information display is on the main page.
3. The page design is concise and each element is included in one specific area. Content is based on text and graphics (50% -50%). Multimedia and interactive elements such as animated graphics and animated menu link display attract visitors.

5. Information is always concise but solid so that visitors are easier to understand the information they want to convey.

In general, the most significant difference between Portal and Website is the target of its visitors. The basic features of the Portal need to contain all the basic features of the Website plus the online services provided by the bureau. The difference between the Portal and the Website is that the Portal provides online information.
